April Oliver, O.D.
Dr. April Oliver earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Texas and graduated with honors in 2008. She also received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 2012, where she was also licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
During this time, she was honored with Letters of Excellence in Family Practice and the Nick Stoyan Memorial Grant for Orthokeratology. While earning her doctorate, she also received extensive training by working at Berkeley Eye Center, Texas Eye Institute, Good Neighbor Clinic, Golden Eye Clinic in Center and Lehmann Eye Center in Nacogdoches. She joined Today’s Vision in 2014 and acquired the Tanglewood location in 2018 from her predecessor Dr. Ehsia Wang. Dr. Oliver was elected as a Today’s Vision board member in 2019 and Chairman of the Board in 2021. One of her greatest passions is helping other optometrists to better manage their private practices and working to expand the scope of Optometry. She lectures to several local organizations on the importance of eye health, specialty contact lenses and practice management. Her special interests include Dry Eye Syndrome, Lasik and Cataract surgery co management and specialty contact lens fittings (multifocal, prosthetic, keratoconus, and post-surgical). She loves working with children of all ages and tries to make them as comfortable and at ease as possible during the exam. Finally, she enjoys taking the extra time to listen carefully to patients and also thoroughly explain findings in an easy to understand manner. In addition to her many professional activities, her hobbies include traveling, trying out new restaurants and recipes, spending time with friends and family, networking with other practitioners and reading. |
Anna Khoja, O.D.
Dr. Anna Khoja grew up in Nederland, Texas, and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health. She completed her Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During this time, Dr. Khoja received a Letter of Excellence in Family Practice and several merit-based scholarships. She graduated with Summa cum laude honors, as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, and as a Student Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Khoja received extensive training in ocular disease and specialty contact lens fitting during her clinical rotations at Community Eye Center in Fort Worth, Space Center Eye Associates in Clear Lake, and HOPE Clinic in Houston, Texas. She also had the opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care to underserved populations through her rotations. Dr. Khoja is passionate about public health education and translates this into patient care by providing her patients with comprehensive and informative eye exams. She practices an extensive scope of optometry, including the management of medical eye diseases using many therapeutic strategies, with the goal of maximizing patients’ vision and making a positive difference in their lives. Fluent in Urdu, Dr. Khoja is happy to see patients who prefer speaking the language. |
During her free time, Dr. Khoja enjoys watching television, listening to podcasts, trying new cuisine around the city, and spending time with friends and family.
Ryan Stewart, O.D.
Dr. Ryan Stewart grew up in Lufkin, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He completed his Doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he graduated with honors and was recognized on the Dean's List.
Dr. Stewart completed an externship rotation at Whitsett Vision Group in Houston, Texas where he gained extensive knowledge and skill in cataract and refractive surgery management/co-management. He also completed a rotation at Southwest Vision Center in North Richland Hills, Texas where he received training in identification and management of various ocular diseases.
He enjoys practicing full scope optometry in order to provide patients with the best vision possible and to ensure that patients are well-informed about their overall ocular health.
In his free time he enjoys watching TV, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
